Sustainably Living - Trend or hype?
4 years ago when I started my health journey I asked myself why do people spend more on sustainable food, superfoods, and organic veg....
Just like most of you at first I thought this must be another trend pushed by instagramers....
But more I looked into this I realised that eating more plant based and living sustainably is one of the best things we can do to ensure there is a world left for future generations.
I spend a good 2-3 years to find out how can we achieve a dietary pattern that provides us with the many nutrients we need for health, in appropriate amounts, but that is also equitable, affordable and sustainable?
Not only that I also looked into how our daily choices can really impact the world. I even published a YouTube about this. You can watch the full video here.
Sustainability is not just a trend.
Sustainable living is not just a trend. It's a way of life that can help you save money and live healthier and happier. The idea of sustainability is to live in harmony with nature, so that we don't deplete the Earth's resources or harm it unnecessarily.
This means making choices about what products you buy, how you get around, what foods you eat and how they are produced--all with an eye toward reducing our impact on the planet as much as possible.
During my quest I discovered:
Sustainable eating/living....
1. Helps the planet to heal
2. Boost our health and well-being
3. Helps to live longer
4. lower the risk of heart diseases
5. Helps to tackle global warming
6. Save wildlife and forests
7. Improve the living standard
Over the last 4 years, I've gradually transitioned my lifestyle in to be more planet friendly and sustainable..... From weekly shopping, meal prepping, working and running a company I make sure I do my best to live sustainably.
You don't have to give everything up when you start living sustainably.
You don't have to give everything up when you start living sustainably. It's not as drastic as it may seem, and there are many ways to live more sustainably without completely changing your lifestyle.
Think about the ways in which you could change your daily routine that would make a difference in how much waste you produce, such as bringing your own mug instead of using disposable cups at work, replacing one meal with GaiaMeal or taking public transportation instead of driving your car every day. You don't have to make all these changes at once--just pick one thing that feels manageable for now, then try another next month!
Drinking GaiaMeal daily is just a part of this change.
As you all know, saving wildlife is a big part of Gaia Tribe's mission.
Not only that... With every GaiaMeal sold and consumed we are helping to promote healthy and sustainable living....
and the most important fact is WITHOUT YOUR HELP this wouldn't be possible.
I believe that transitioning to an increasingly more sustainable diet is a process that requires a positive and open mindset.
The journey is part of the fun and it can be attained in stages.
